Squama is a record label from Munich founded in 2019, releasing multi-layered musical and visual objects. For this special night - Munich-based Mongolian jazz-singer Enji will perform her newest, critically acclaimed album ULAAN live at murmur, which came out this summer - including a mesmerizing music video via Nowness.

Enji and her collaborators explore the melodies and rhythms of self-discovery, creating a hypnotic blend of grounded Folk and brooding Jazz. The album title refers to a childhood nickname affectionately given to the singer by her family. In ULAAN (УЛААН) the music film, directors Lara Fritz and Hanne Kaunicnik weave together dreamy glimpses of Enji’s quest to grow while remembering who she is. The singer appears as a ghost-like figure, momentarily dwelling in the part-imagined, part-recollected landscapes of her former lives.
